Cimber Sterling, which flies to 54 destinations throughout Europe, has made Tel Aviv its first destination outside of the Europe boundaries. The new service will operate three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays beginning on 1st November 2010.
Lars Bording, the company’s Executive Vice President, explained that the route to Tel Aviv was intended for business persons and tourists wishing to visit Scandinavia. “We will be the sole airline operating flights between Denmark and Israel during the autumn and winter and we anticipate that it will provide a response to business people and to tourists wanting to visit these exciting destinations. Israel, in addition to being a unique destination, will also be our first outside the boundaries of Europe.”
Cimber Sterling is a Danish based airline with more than 850 employees, with offices in five Danish airports. It has a fleet of aircraft that includes seven ATR aircraft seating between 48-68 passengers, 13 Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft seating 50 passengers and for international flights, Boeing 737-700 seating 149 passengers.
Cimber Sterling operates more than 1000 flights every week and carries approximately 2.4 million passengers a year.
