Data released by the Central Bureau of Statistics shows that there was a 26% increase in the number of tourists visiting Israel in April, compared to last April and 9% more than in April 2008.

From mid-June through until the beginning of September, El Al will operate 275 scheduled flights a week from Ben Gurion Airport to 40 destinations worldwide. CEO Eliezer Shkedi:”We will give special emphasis on the growth of all routes.”
